CUPPING THERAPY

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which special cups are put on the skin for a few minutes and moved along the body to create suction. It is a very gentle remedy that helps with pain, reduces inflammation, and improves blood flow, relaxation and well-being. Cupping is also used to help cellulite reduction, help digestion and fertile issues.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, (also known as the connective tissue). This treatment can use many of the same movements and techniques as a holistic massage but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension and adhesion. The treatment may be painful but always within the clients threshold.

HOLISTIC MASSAGE

Holistic massage, or Swedish massage, is one of the most well known systems of massage in the world. It is based on Western concepts of anatomy and physiology, and uses the traditional manipulative techniques of effleurage, petrissage, friction ,and tapotement. It is extremely relaxing, as the client is treated as a whole, with the therapist taking into account both the physical body and the emotional and spiritual well being.

HOT STONE MASSAGE

Hot Stone Massage is a special treatment where smooth, heated basaltic stones are used as an extension of the therapist's hands. The heat of the stones penetrates deep into the muscle tissue, allowing the muscles to relax 4-5 times quicker than in a standard body massage, easing muscle tension and revitalising the muscle tissue by increasing blood circulation. The deep relaxation of and increased blood flow to the areas being worked on not only accelerates healing processes, but also creates a state of deep mental relaxation.
